Mt. Aiona, hike in Liguria – Borzonasca

The Aiona mountain (1701m) is the highest mountain in this part of Liguria. The landscape is very particular, considered by many “Lunar”, thanks to the vastness of the land almost totally flat, devoid of trees and shrubs, bare, but truly unique and incomparable with any other place. Once you reach the top the views are truly breathtaking and if you’re lucky enough to find a nice, sunny day you can see the sea at the bottom, all around the highest peaks of the Ligurian Apennines and the Apennines and the Alps on the horizon. Once you reach the goal, on the top, you can see a statue of a Madonna, which is very important for the territory thanks to its history.

Alice will provide free to you a guide of places and recommended routes in each apartment.
